Fall 2025: Big Physics at Small Scales
Physics From the Ground Up
Originally started by Reilly Milburn, Physics From the Ground Up is a public engagement opportunity for UNC department of physics faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students to give brief lectures to a general audience. This happens at Lanza's Cafe once a month during the academic semester. I am the head organizer, host, and team leader for this. I love outreach, and having my own event has allowed me to reach the public in a number of different ways. If you are interested in giving a talk, please reach out to me at the email link below!

Abstract Videographer
During my time at NC State, I worked on a number of videos for the CDSA REU program under the direction of Dr. Katie Mack. This then turned into a graduate student outreach program, wherein I worked on a number of videos that exposed graduate students to scientific outreach for the first time. These videos are under the youtube channels CDSA at NCSU and NCSU Physics Video Abstracts. Below is a video of University of Arizona graduate student Anna Taylor speaking about her research in x-ray binaries.
